To continue the unique spirit of the brand some artistic pieces were created. These timepieces  are all bespoke which means that there is only one in the world.

The first The Art Project is composed of 2 unique collection – “The Elements” & “The Cosmos”. There are 4 watches in the Elements collection and 2 in the Cosmos collection. The dials of these watches are hand painted by Australian artist and longtime friend Timothy John.

The first is composed of 4 unique timepieces which represent the 4 Elements – Water – Fire – Wind & Earth.

What you have to know is that the brand decided in consultation with Timothy the theme of the first colletion (Elements). But they completely left free choice to him for the creation of the second collection (Cosmos). Then it was up to them to adapt to his work. Who dares do that? The upside of this is that it’s like you have an empty room in your house, you buy your sofa, and then you decide to choose the wall color and decoration.

Each piece is unique, finished and assembled by the hand of Mr Roland Stampfli (CEO & Designer of AOSWatches).

Now have a look to the specifications of this collection.

For the “Elements”, the 4 unique timepieces (with hand painted dial by Timothy John) have a  bi-color case in aluminium Oxide Extra Hard which allows them to have a mass of only of 87 grams.

In the heart of the watch you’ll find a self-winding mechanical ETA 2892-A2 movement with 28.800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and 21 Jewels. The power reserve on it is about 42 hours.
In the front we remain on sobriety with only the hours, minutes, and second hand (with a touch of luminous coating), a date window at 6 o’clock and finally the logo and the mention “Elements” at 9 O’Clock.
The case back is open and displays the decorated oscillating weight (4 different decorations including a Côtes de Genève / a beaded / a sun sanded, horizontal segment / a sun sanded, vertical segment ) and with the signature of the artist.

A robust diameter of 47mm and a height at 12mm (on lugs : 14.7mm). The length on curved fasteners is about 56.4mm. But as you can see in the photo, I have a small wrist (around 17 – 18mm), and yet, thanks to the special design of the watch it fits perfectly. Moreover it’s very light, which makes it very nice and comfortable.

The fasteners are made of bronze (as Navy anchors design) with a Dianoir treatment (80% diamond)

Finally we find two sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment to give you the possibility to see all the details of the timepiece.The strap is hand-stitched black crocodile leather with double folding clasp – (Stainless Steel 316L)

For the second collection – The Cosmos Edition (composed of 2 unique watches).

The technical details are the same except for one change, the colour of the case, and in one case the strap. The Cosmos 1 is in Full gold colour – using Aluminium Oxide Extra Hard.

The Cosmos 2 has a hand-stitched black crocodile leather strap with a double folding clasp and the Cosmos 1 has stainless steel gold colour strap with a simple folding clasp which works with the pusher on the side of the buckle.

Continuing with the unique and artistic theme of their pieces, Roland Stampfli has created the “Sakura” and the “Orchidea” which we will cover here quite soon.

Some days ago AOSWatches launched a new limited edition watch in two version (stainless steel and black aluminium) with only 25 pieces being made from each.

This one seen above is the 2021 Riders. An eye-catching watch with a reading time at 180 ° and a wheel for the second in the centre, the whole with a single hand. The long side of the hand shows the time from 1 to 6h and the shorter side from 7 to 12h.

– Double folding clasp, the strap is a mix of leather and carbon fibre or you can opt for the hand stitched version.

– Water resistant to 50m

The second version is the full black in aluminium oxidation GL extra hard Black with a mass of around 83g. The black dial has blue, red and white lume on it. The other technical details are identical to the stainless steel edition.

To finish, I’ll just show the picture of the incredible “Wheels of Time” created by the brand. This watch is expected for 2015. The movement of this timepiece called as the first “Time Diffuser” is the RT01, the first in house movement for AOSWatches, designed and developed by Roland Stampfli, consisting of a Prayer wheel style case with a fully encased flat motor mechanical movement. Independent moving hour and minute cylinders with single markers for the reading of time. With this timepiece AOSWatches pushes the boundaries of the high-end watchmaking sector.

As usual, all the pieces can by fully customised with precious metals, diamonds, case colouring and also adjustment of the decoration on the two independent scrolls for hours and minutes, helping to create a unique and individual piece.

We can say that the brand knows how to stand by it’s audacity and the very specific designs.
