Omega announced the good news today when they showed us things to come on this year’s BaselWorld show.

Omega-Speedmaster-Mark-II-Black-Dial-2014-Reissue

This watch is the reintroduction of the original 1969 Omega Speedmaster Mark II, a timepiece with polished facets and brushed surfaces on the tonneau-styled case, just like its predecessor. The reintroduction version of this classic timepiece has been updated to include an automatic mechanical movement and luminous tachy scale. The watch will be offered in two versions:  a black dial, and the grey “racing” dial with orange accents.

The 2014 Speedmaster Mark II comes on a 42.4 x 46.2 mm case and is powered by the Omega caliber 3330 self-winding movement. This column-wheel chronograph movement is chronometer certified and is equipped with the Co-Axial escapement and silicon (Si14) balance spring. Price? Well, expect it to cost around EUR5000. We are looking forward to it! omegawatches.com
