Tag Heuer Aquaracer Lady Watch Collection 2014

By Jovan Krstevski

It’s not often we get the chance to write about a ladies watch here on WristReview, but it is quite understandable since most of our readers are men.

Aquaracer is one of the most successful family of watches that Tag Heuer offers since its introduction over 30 years ago. This year the Aquaracer Lady collection is getting a fresh design update.

The Aquaracer Lady collection comes equipped with a new geometric unidirectional rotating bezel with the typical six lugs, and a screwed-in crown to ensure water-resistantance to 300 meters/1000 feet.

The design makeover also features new dial details, and include a new  bracelet with H-shaped links, with polished and brushed finishes.

There are various versions of the new Tag Heuer Aquaracer Lady: with black or mother of pearl dial, in steel or steel and gold, with  index or with diamonds hour markers. There is even a bijou version with 30 diamonds to enrich the rotating bezel. The case is available in two sizes: 27mm or 32mm of diameter.

The Aquaracer are fitted with high-precision Tag Heuer quartz movements, which also feature an end of battery life indicator. When the battery shows sign of weakening, the seconds hand starts making four-second jumps every four seconds. However, the movement will continue to display the exact time until the battery is exhausted. The electrical current causes the quartz crystal to vibrate very consistently and at a very high frequency (32,768 times per second), this gives a variation of only a few seconds per month.  Overall, the watch combines dynamic, elegance and sportiness style. Retail prices start from CHF 1,650. For more info, please visit tagheuer.com
